Job summary

Kindred Hospital Chicago - Northlake is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide safe and effective respiratory care across hospital settings. The role involves monitoring ventilation, performing ABG analysis, and ongoing patient assessment, with emphasis on documentation and team collaboration.

Expect a sign-on bonus and a weekend program incentive, with nights including Friday–Sunday shifts. This position supports a 94-bed LTAC facility in Northlake, IL with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak fluent English.
• Respiratory Therapy education required for credentialing.
• Current state license and CRT/RRT credentials.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent respiratory care per physician orders.
• Monitor mechanical ventilation and ABG results.
• Document and charge for all Respiratory Care procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform maintenance/disinfection.
• Assist in airway management including intubation as needed.
• Wean patients from ventilator per protocol.
• Educate patients and families; provide handoff reports.
• Participate in department/hospital in-services and rounds.
