UNC Health Nash is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide professional respiratory care from newborns to geriatrics. The role includes critical care and general patient care assignments with responsibilities that align to the North Carolina Respiratory Care Practice Act.

The incumbent will work onsite in Nash Hospitals, support physicians and staff, and document care in the EMR. This position requires NC licensure, RRT eligibility, and certifications in BCLS and ACLS.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of a CAHEA approved respiratory care program.
• Current license to practice respiratory care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in North Carolina.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or eligible to sit for exam.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.

Aufgaben

• Administers standard Respiratory Care including aerosol medications, oxygen therapy, arterial testing, and airway management.
• Provides ventilator setup, monitoring and weaning as needed.
• May be on-call days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Mentors staff and serves as resource for physicians and UNCHCS team; may assume Charge Therapist responsibilities.
• Records patient care information in the electronic medical record system per policies.
