Job summary

Nash UNC Health Care in Nash, NC invites passionate healthcare professionals to join our Pulmonary team. The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides professional respiratory care to patients from newborns through geriatrics and works under the North Carolina Respiratory Care Practice Act.

Incumbents are accountable to the NC Board and may perform airway management, ventilator care, and related patient care activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAHEA approved respiratory care program.
• Current North Carolina respiratory care licensure.
• RRT certification or eligibility to sit for exam.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications maintained.
• Demonstrated ability to perform airway and ventilator care.

Responsibilities

• Administers standard Respiratory Care including aerosol therapy and oxygen therapy.
• Manages airway care including tracheostomy and intubation procedures.
• Provides ventilator care and weaning under physician direction.
• Maintains accurate patient records in the electronic medical record.
• May be on-call days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
