Job summary

UNC Nash Health Care seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide professional respiratory care across age groups from newborns to geriatrics. Responsibilities include critical care, general patient care, and related activities within NC practice Act guidelines.

The role requires on-site work with night shifts, and incumbents may participate in on-call rotations while maintaining documentation in the EMR system.

Qualifications

• CAHEA-approved training in respiratory care.
• Current North Carolina license to practice respiratory care.
• RRT certification or eligible to sit for exam.
• Current BCLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Administer standard respiratory care including aerosol meds and oxygen therapy.
• Perform airway management and ventilator care as prescribed.
• Provide bedside care, assessments, and organ care in critical settings.
• Record patient data in the electronic medical record per policy.
• Serve as a resource to staff and participate in training as needed.
