Job summary

Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support patient care during the 3rd shift. You will operate ventilators, perform pulmonary diagnostics, and collaborate with physicians to provide safe, effective therapies.

This full-time position offers a 0.9 FTE, a pay range of $35.50–$53.25 per hour, and a $12,500 sign-on bonus, plus loan forgiveness and tuition reimbursement up to $20k each.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program with at least an associate degree.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner license (state).
• NBRC-certified: RRT or CRT as applicable.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certified.

Responsibilities

• Perform pulmonary diagnostics and interpret blood gases.
• Operate ventilators in critical and non-critical care areas.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures per orders.
• Educate patients on therapy purpose and self-care.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment.
