Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide and coordinate comprehensive respiratory care across patient populations. You will operate ventilators and therapies, assist physicians with bedside procedures, and educate patients on therapy goals and safety.

The role requires an associate degree in respiratory care, active RCP licensure with NBRC credentials, and BLS certification. The position is a 0.9 FTE night shift with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program, with a minimum of an associate degree.
• No experience required.
• Licensure/Certification: Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license and NBRC credentials (RRT or CRT) within required timelines; BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive respiratory care per established standards.
• Operate ventilators and respiratory support modalities in critical and non-critical care areas.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures and patient care per orders.
• Educate patients on therapy purpose, techniques, and disease management.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safety and proper function.
