What we offer:
General Summary: Respiratory Therapists are healthcare professionals who administer respiratory care by prescription of the physician. Responsibilities include diagnostic evaluation (e.g., obtaining and analyzing physiological specimens, interpreting physiologic data, performing tests and studies of the cardiopulmonary system, neuropsychological studies), management, education, rehabilitation, and patient care for deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. The practice includes application of technology and treatment protocols across care sites, including but not limited to: medical gases (excluding anesthetic gases), environmental control systems, mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, bronchopulmonary hygiene, pharmacological agents related to respiratory procedures, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, and hemodynamic support.
