Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Respiratory Therapist NICU PEDS RRT to support neonatal and pediatric patients with a full range of respiratory care modalities. The role involves clinical assignments, adherence to policies, and collaboration with respiratory students in training.

Required qualifications include NBRC-accredited program completion with CRT/RRT credentials, Texas license, and BLS; PALS within 30 days, NRP within 90 days; ACLS preferred depending on facility.

Qualifications

• Graduated from NBRC-recognized program in Respiratory Care.
• CRT and RRT credentials required or to be obtained on hire.
• Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner is required.
• BLS current; PALS within 30 days; NRP within 90 days; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care for NICU and pediatric patients.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of respiratory care and assignments.
• Collaborate with Respiratory Students in the clinical care setting.

Job Summary And Qualifications

It is the responsibility of the staff respiratory therapist to demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of Respiratory Care with additional competency in NICU and Pediatric patient care. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for execution of assignments. All care will be in compliance with hospital and respiratory policies. May work with Respiratory Students in the clinical care setting.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Graduated from an accredited school for Respiratory Care, recognized by the NBRC.
• One year experience in Respiratory Care and with documented training completed in NICU and/or Pediatrics required.
• CRT, RRT by NBRC upon hire.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider required
• PALS required within 30 days of hire
• NRP required within 90 days of hire
• ACLS preferred (requirements are facility-based)
