Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Respiratory Therapist NICU PEDS RRT to join our team. The role requires proficiency in all modalities of Respiratory Care with NICU and Pediatric experience, and collaboration with clinical staff to deliver patient-centered care.

The position emphasizes adherence to hospital policies, potential supervision of Respiratory Students, and ongoing credential maintenance including PALS/NRP and BLS requirements.

Qualifications

  • Graduated from NBRC-recognized Respiratory Care program.
  • One year experience in Respiratory Care with NICU and/or Pediatrics training.
  • CRT and RRT credentials by NBRC at hire.
  • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Current BLS; PALS within 30 days; NRP within 90 days; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of Respiratory Care with NICU and Pediatric patient care.
  • Execute assignments with adherence to hospital and respiratory policies.
  • May work with Respiratory Students in the clinical care setting.

Education

NBRC-accredited Respiratory Care program
NICU/Pediatrics experience
CRT, RRT by NBRC at hire
Texas Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner
BLS current; PALS within 30 days; NRP within 90 days
ACLS preferred (facility-based)

Job Summary And Qualifications

It is the responsibility of the staff respiratory therapist to demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of Respiratory Care with additional competency in NICU and Pediatric patient care. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for execution of assignments. All care will be in compliance with hospital and respiratory policies. May work with Respiratory Students in the clinical care setting.

What Qualifications You Will Need
  • Graduated from an accredited school for Respiratory Care, recognized by the NBRC.
  • One year experience in Respiratory Care and with documented training completed in NICU and/or Pediatrics required.
  • CRT, RRT by NBRC upon hire.
  • Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider required
  • PALS required within 30 days of hire
  • NRP required within 90 days of hire
  • ACLS preferred (requirements are facility-based)
