Job summary

Medical City Dallas, part of the HCA Healthcare network, seeks a Respiratory Therapist for NICU and Pediatric care. The role emphasizes proficiency in all modalities of Respiratory Care and execution of assignments under hospital policies.

May involve supervising Respiratory Students in clinical settings. Qualified candidates will have NBRC-recognized training, RTT/CRT credentials, and Texas licensure, plus BLS; PALS/NRP within set windows and ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduated from NBRC-recognized school for Respiratory Care.
• One year experience in Respiratory Care with NICU/Pediatrics training.
• CRT and RRT by NBRC on hire.
• Texas Medical Board license as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Current BLS provider required.
• PALS within 30 days of hire.
• NRP within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS preferred (facility-based).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of Respiratory Care.
• Competency in NICU and Pediatric patient care.
• Execute assignments per hospital policies.
• May supervise/facilitate Respiratory Students in clinical care.

Job Summary And Qualifications

It is the responsibility of the staff respiratory therapist to demonstrate proficiency in all modalities of Respiratory Care with additional competency in NICU and Pediatric patient care. The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for execution of assignments. All care will be in compliance with hospital and respiratory policies. May work with Respiratory Students in the clinical care setting.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Graduated from an accredited school for Respiratory Care, recognized by the NBRC.
• One year experience in Respiratory Care and with documented training completed in NICU and/or Pediatrics required.
• CRT, RRT by NBRC upon hire.
• Licensed by the Texas Medical Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider required
• PALS required within 30 days of hire
• NRP required within 90 days of hire
• ACLS preferred (requirements are facility-based)
