Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform patient assessments and deliver general and critical care respiratory therapy for both adult and neonatal patients. You will work with newborns in Labor and Delivery, perform blood gas analysis, and manage equipment while educating patients and families about care plans.

Requirements include an Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, NBRC registration, and state licensure, along with current BCLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required.
• Experience in Neonatal respiratory care or orientation completed with skills validation.
• Current NBRC registration and state licensure to practice respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Current certifications in BCLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP. Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies in both adult and neonatal areas.
