Job summary

Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, GA seeks a Respiratory Therapist for full-time night shifts (36 hours) with a sign-on bonus. The role includes patient assessments, neonatal respiratory care in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis, equipment management, and family education.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, is an RRT with BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications, and has neonatal care experience or completed orientation with competency

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required.
• Experience in neonatal respiratory care or completion of orientation with competency validation required.
• RRT certification and state licensure required upon hire.
• BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and respiratory care procedures.
• Provide respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery.
• Conduct blood gas analysis and interpretation.
• Maintain and manage equipment and educate patients and families in adult and neonatal care.

Responsibilities:

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
