Job summary

Golden Plains Community Hospital in Texas is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist. The role includes setting up and operating respiratory care equipment, performing diagnostic tests, and responding to Code Blue situations. On-call shifts and variable hours may apply.

The candidate will work under supervision and must meet NBRC certification, BLS by day one, and ACLS/NRP/PALS within three months. Experience preferred; strong teamwork and patient-age span from neonates to geriatrics are

Qualifications

• Registered or Certified by NBRC.
• BLS required by first day; ACLS, NRP and PALS within three months.
• One+ year of experience preferred.
• Ability to apply protocols and troubleshoot equipment.
• Must pass required exams.
• Care for patients of all ages; neonates through geriatric.
• Demonstrates teamwork, self-direction and teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and provide respiratory therapy treatments including IPPB, aerosol, chest physical therapy.
• Perform diagnostic pulmonary and cardiac testing and document progress.
• Maintain and operate respiratory care and EKG equipment.
• Respond to Code Blue calls and assist with airway management and CPR.
• Maintain CEUs and participate in departmental meetings.
