Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for night shifts to provide comprehensive respiratory care, including ABG, PFTs, and ventilator support for adults and neonates. You will operate, interpret, and optimize therapy under physician guidance and maintain safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications include Texas RCP licensure, NBRC registry, BLS/ACLS; NRP or PALS must be obtained within 1 year.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in Texas in good standing.
NBRC registry as Respiratory Therapist.
BLS and ACLS certified; NRP/PALS must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

Perform respiratory care procedures including ABG, PFTs, and ventilator support.
Administer oxygen and aerosol therapies and bronchial hygiene.
Assess respiratory status of adults and neonates and document findings.
Operate, troubleshoot and clean cardiopulmonary equipment.
Interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT data and adjust treatment accordingly.
Maintain infection control, safety, and quality assurance practices.
Collaborate with medical staff under department policies.
