Job summary

HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center in Phoenix is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to set up, operate and monitor respiratory care equipment in general floor and critical care areas. You will transcribe orders, perform ABG analysis, arterial punctures, and manage ventilators; this role requires BLS/ACLS and RRT or eligible status.

The network float pool may require assignment to different campuses based on staffing needs; this position is on-site and involves day shifts with rotating holidays

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2 year AMA approved Respiratory Care program.
• Graduate of a 4 year Bachelor level or AMA approved Respiratory Care program.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and administer respiratory care equipment in general floor and critical care areas.
• Perform arterial puncture, blood gas analysis, co-oximetry, ECGs and other pulmonary function tests.
• Manage mechanical ventilators and ensure airway patency and humidification.

Education
