Job summary

HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital in Orange Park, FL is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to guide patients through routine and critical care using advanced respiratory technology and a collaborative care team.

You will assess respiratory status, deliver evidence-based therapy, manage ventilation, educate patients and families, and ensure equipment readiness with strict infection control across diverse care settings.

Qualifications

• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Vocational School Graduate or Associate Degree.
• CRT-State Certified Respiratory Therapist, or RRT/RCP-State Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status with focused exams and airway patency.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen support and aerosolized meds.
• Manage ventilation and artificial airways, invasive and noninvasive.
• Educate patients and families, collaborate with physicians and nurses.
• Maintain and clean equipment, ensure readiness and infection prevention.

Education

Associate Degree

Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner (RRT/RCP)

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days
