Job summary

HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist on a PRN basis to deliver evidence‑based respiratory care across emergency, critical care, and acute care settings. You will perform ventilatory support, oxygen therapy, and airway clearance while collaborating with physicians and nurses to stabilize patients, including newborns when required.

Qualifications

• RN/RT credential required (RRT or RCP) and Neonate Resuscitation within 6 months of start date.
• ACLS and BCLS/PALS certifications must be obtained within specified timeframes from start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status via exams, breath sounds, and airway patency.
• Deliver oxygen, medications, airway clearance, and other therapies in emergency, critical care, and acute settings.
• Manage ventilation and airway support, including invasive and noninvasive ventilation.
• Educate patients and families, support the care team, and assist with newborn stabilization when needed.
• Maintain and sanitize equipment, ensure readiness and infection prevention.
