Montefiore Medical Center in New York is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to support the Department of Medicine. The position focuses on performing Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT) primarily at the MAP practice, with occasional coverage at the Hutch location as needed.

The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in Respiratory Care, graduation from AMA’s respiratory therapist program, at least one year of experience, NYS licensure, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care required.
• Graduate of AMA respiratory therapist program.
• One year of experience required.
• Current NYS respiratory therapist license.
• CRTT or RRT or registry eligible.
• BLS by the American Heart Association.

Responsabilités

Overview

For positions that have only a rate listed, the displayed rate is the hiring rate but could be subject to change based on shift differential, experience, education or other relevant factors.

Under the supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist or licensed physician, the Respiratory Therapist for the Department of Medicine will provide respiratory support to all patients with abnormalities of cardiopulmonary function. Administration and monitoring of all diagnostic and therapeutic modalities within the service’s scope of practice.

This is a part-time position.

Tuesday-Friday 7:30-6pm. 3400 Bainbridge Ave 2ndFloor.

*Travel to other locations (Hutch) based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

The Respiratory Therapist will be required to conduct Pulmonary Function Tests primarily at the MAP practice, but will be required to provide PFT services atHutch locationas needed.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Respiratory Care required.
• Graduate of AMA, a respiratory therapist program.
• One year of experience required.
• Current NYS respiratory therapist license.
• CRTT or RRT or registry eligible by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• BLS by the American Heart Association.

EQUIPMENT OPERATION:

• Pasteurmatic for the cleaning and disinfection of non-disposable respiratory care equipment.
• Oxygen and air cylinders and regulators.
