Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the Department of Medicine in the Bronx, NY. The part-time role involves providing respiratory support, administering diagnostic and therapeutic modalities, and conducting Pulmonary Function Tests at MAP, with travel to Hutch as needed.

Required: Associate degree in Respiratory Care, NYS license, BLS, and 1 year of experience. Eligible for CRTT or RRT per NBRC guidelines.

Respiratory Therapist

Under the supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist or licensed physician, the Respiratory Therapist for the Department of Medicine will provide respiratory support to all patients with abnormalities of cardiopulmonary function. Administration and monitoring of all diagnostic and therapeutic modalities within the service’s scope of practice.

The Respiratory Therapist will be required to conduct Pulmonary Function Tests primarily at the MAP practice, but will be required to provide PFT services at Hutch location as needed.

This is a part-time position,

Tuesday-Friday 7:30-6pm. 3400 Bainbridge Ave 2nd Floor.

• Travel to other locations (Hutch) based on operational needs.

Job Requirements

• Associates degree in Respiratory Care required
• Graduate of AMA a respiratory therapist program

Equipment Operation

• Pasteurmatic for the cleaning and disinfection of non-disposable respiratory care equipment.
