Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care across respiratory therapies. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for the medical team in respiratory care.

The role requires graduation from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program and an active RCP license, with NBRC RRT credential. ACLS and some critical care experience are preferred, and duties include handling typical respiratory equipment and related tasks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license as per state requirements.
• NBRC-licensed RRT credential is required; PALS for ER staff.
• ACLS and critical care experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across respiratory therapies as ordered by physicians.
• Consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and appropriateness.
• Serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned and adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements.
