Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist II for night shift to join our Respiratory Therapy team. The role supports ICU and acute care coverage with supervision by leadership, and involves patient assessment, ventilation management, and education.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required in Respiratory Care/Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Respiratory Therapist License and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• 0–1 years related work experience preferred.
• Must be able to work off-shifts and weekends; on-call as necessary.
• Experience with computer systems and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assumes primary responsibility for patient care including evaluation and administration of respiratory care procedures.
• Develops and modifies respiratory care plans and communicates with physicians.
• Acts as team leader during shifts when management is not on site.
• Participates in educational meetings and performance improvement activities.
• Delivers patient and family education and supports learning needs.
