Job summary

UNC Health Care in Clayton, NC seeks a Respiratory Therapist II to provide advanced respiratory care in assigned patient areas. Under supervision, you will manage airway care, ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapies, and participate in ER/ICU procedures as required.

The role requires completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, NC licensure (RRT preferred), and at least two years of experience. A 36-hour work week and day schedule apply.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in NC; RRT certification.
• Must maintain NBRC credentials; ACLS/NRP/PALS or CPFT as required by practice area.
• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Administers standard Respiratory Care including aerosol delivery and oxygen therapy.
• Manages airway care and ventilator support; may perform PFT as needed.
• May assist with advanced procedures per UNC Air Care Protocol and ECMO management.
• May be on-call days, nights, weekends and holidays.
