Job summary

The role includes sleep testing and analysis as prescribed by a physician, with collaboration across the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. You will calibrate and maintain therapy equipment, monitor patient responses, document in the EMR, and assist in procedures such as bronchoscopy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with accredited Respiratory program.
• 0–2 years healthcare experience; paid experience preferred.
• CRT certification and BLS required; ACLS/PALS depending on area.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine and advanced respiratory therapies as ordered by the physician.
• Collect and analyze patient information to assess needs and determine treatment requirements.
• Prepare, calibrate, and maintain therapy equipment and devices.
• Apply sensors and perform sleep studies if assigned to Sleep Lab.
• Monitor and document patient responses to therapy in EMR; notify physician of adverse reactions.
• Determine appropriate methods for administering inhalants and therapies per orders.
• Prepare equipment and patients for bronchoscopy; assist during procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and assist in emergencies; perform other duties as assigned.
