Job summary

Pediatric Home Service in Orlando, FL is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist to join our pediatric home health team. The role involves initial assessments, education, care planning, and collaboration with the care team.

We offer a Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm schedule with weekends/on-call as determined by leadership, a supportive work environment, PTO, 401(k) matching, tuition reimbursement, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Requires licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT/RCP) and BLS certification.
• One year of pediatric Respiratory Therapist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments including physical, functional, social and environmental needs.
• Educate patient, family, and caregiver; set up equipment.
• Develop and revise patient care plans; follow PHS policies.
• Ensure timely documentation and coordinate care with the team.
• Participate in care conferences and on-call activities.
• Schedule patient visits per PHS follow-up policy.

• Position: Respiratory Therapist
• Location: Orlando, FL
• Hours: Monday- Friday, 8 am- 5 pm. Weekends/On-call as determined by leadership
• Requirements: Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT/RCP) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

The Position:

• Uses analytical ability to perform initial patient assessments including physical, functional, social and environmental resource requirements and needs; Ensures communication and coordination of services /care among all clinical services
• Performs initial equipment set-up and patient/family/caregiver education
• Develops patient specific plans of care based on initial assessments to include problems, goals and interventions
• Reviews and revises care plans on an ongoing basis and ensure that all patients are followed according to that plan per PHS policy
• Ensures that all required documentation is completed accurately and within the time frames set forth in PHS policy
• Participates in care conferences and collaborates with all care team members internally and externally
• Participates in day-to-day trouble shooting; Performs all on-call activities, analyze problems, formulates solutions, and notifies manager on-call as needed
• Schedule all patient visits per PHS follow-up policy

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory program and/or nursing program
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT/RCP) by The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• One year of pediatric experience as a Respiratory Therapist

Preferred Qualifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Neonatal & Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification
