Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care or related program.
• Current and active with the KY Board of Respiratory Care.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Measures lung capacity and analyzes samples using a blood gas analyzer.
• Delivers and assesses response to prescribed therapy per plan of care.
• Monitors patient condition and communicates status to care team.
• Responds to codes and emergent needs with appropriate treatment.
• Educates patients and families about illness and community resources.
• Manages respiratory care supplies and equipment storage.
• Keeps equipment clean, sterilized, and calibrated.
