Qualifications

• Completion of an approved school for respiratory therapy.
• Active State Respiratory Care Practitioner License required.
• One to three months of related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operates respiratory devices including mechanical ventilators and gas administration equipment.
• Monitors patient vital signs and responses to therapy.
• Administers medicinal gases and aerosol drugs as ordered by Physician.
• Maintains patient charts with therapy information.
• Inspects equipment and reports needed repairs or maintenance.
