Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - York is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for full-time night shifts at our York location. Compensation will be based on years of experience with a $3/hr night shift differential and a $3/hr weekend differential. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible candidates.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, providing respiratory care, and teaching families. Minimum requirements include an NBRC CRT or RRT credential, BLS, current state licensure, and ACLS

Qualifications

• NBRC credential required.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.

Schedule: Full Time - Night Shift 12 hour shifts

Compensation: Pay based on years of experience.

Shift Differentials: Night shift- $3 per hour, Weekends-$3 per hour

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
