Job summary

Iredell Health System is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide bedside therapy and operate respiratory equipment under physician direction. The 36-hour weekly shift runs 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with rotating weekends.

Qualified candidates must be licensed as an RCP in North Carolina and able to perform a full range of motions to pass FIT tests, with lifting up to 30 pounds. Sign-on bonus eligible.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates respiratory care equipment and provides therapy for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory conditions.
• Has access to patient health information as part of job responsibilities.
• May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.

Job description

Under the supervision of the Director and/or the Assistant Director of Respiratory Care and upon the request of the physician, sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment and provides therapy to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with respiratory disease, compromise or illness. Has full access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.

Requirements

• Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
