Job summary

Iredell Health System in Statesville, NC seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our Respiratory Care team. Under the direction of the Director/Assistant Director, you will set up and operate respiratory care equipment and provide prescribed therapy to patients with respiratory conditions.

The ideal candidate is licensed by the NC Board of Respiratory Care and capable of performing physical tasks including lifting up to 30 pounds and passing a FIT test. 36 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed by the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for the position, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods; must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Overview

Under the supervision of the Director and/or the Assistant Director of Respiratory Care and at the request of the physician, the respiratory care practitioner sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment and provides therapy used in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with respiratory disease, compromise or illness. Has full access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.

Shift: 36 hrs per week
