Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – St. Louis North 63136 is hiring Respiratory Therapists for the full-time night shift inside Christian Northeast Hospital. The role offers compensation of $35–$47.50 per hour, with $5 night differential and $3.50 weekend differential.

A $15,000 sign-on bonus with no repayment is included for eligible candidates. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, delivering respiratory care, managing endotracheal tubes, and supporting quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Must possess Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Provide proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical conditions.
• Insert and remove endotracheal tubes as needed.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
