Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital in St. Charles, MO seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our acute care team. This full-time role supports critically ill patients through comprehensive airway management and advanced respiratory care.

The RT will evaluate patients, implement treatment plans, insert/remove endotracheal tubes when required, and collaborate with physicians and nurses. A strong NBRC credential, BLS, ACLS, and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon hire; agency RT must have ACLS on first shift.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $35.30-$47.50/Based on experience

Competitive shift differentials for nights $5 and weekends $3.50

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
