Job summary

Iredell Memorial Hospital Incorporated seeks a qualified Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care under physician direction. You will operate respiratory equipment, deliver therapies, and monitor patient response in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Requirements include NC licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and BLS certification. Physical stamina to perform duties is required and you will access patient health information as part of care

Qualifications

• Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test and perform duties, including lifting up to 30 pounds.

• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment and provide therapy for diagnosis and treatment.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust therapies under physician supervision.

Description

Under the supervision of the Director and/or the Assistant Director of Respiratory Care and upon the request of the physician, sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment and provides therapy to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with respiratory disease, compromise or illness. Has full access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 36 hrs. per week

Requirements

• Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
