Job summary

TriHealth's Bethesda North Hospital Respiratory Therapy team delivers high-acuity, autonomous respiratory care across inpatient and outpatient settings in a large tertiary hospital with regional heart center capabilities.

The role involves ventilator management, ABG analysis, and bedside pulmonary testing, with opportunities for clinical leadership and professional development within TriHealth's supportive, team-focused department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program.
• 1–2 years experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of Advanced Cardiopulmonary Physiology and related Pharmacology.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) NBRC Registry or RRT Upon Hire.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner Current Ohio licensure Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs all necessary documentation, updates work lists, and submits all charges by the end of the shift.
• Performs ventilator management for neonates, adolescents and/or adults.
• Manages the Respiratory Evaluation Protocol Program.
• May perform airway management/oxygen administration and O2 titration protocol.
• Performs treatment and diagnostic modalities -HHN, P&PD, MDI, IPPB, ABGs, PEFR, EKG's, induced sputum - for neonates and adults.

Bethesda North Hospital’sRespiratoryTherapy team practices in a large, growing tertiary hospital and regional heart center licensed for approximately 397 beds. Our RTs deliver high‑acuity, autonomousrespiratorycare across inpatient and outpatient settings, including advanced ventilator management, intubation, and active involvement in cardiac surgery recovery, LVAD care, and ECMO ramping. Bethesda North is recognized regionally for excellence in cardiac care and holds Blue Distinction recognition for cardiac services; the campus also serves as the designated trauma center for northern Cincinnati, giving therapists broad exposure to complex, time‑sensitive cases and opportunities for clinical growth. Job Overview:

This position will provide respiratory care in all patient care settings. This position's Duties include, i.e. the administration of all respiratory care therapeutic modalities, management of mechanical ventilation, and the assessment of the appropriateness and effectiveness of therapy administered REP. Additionally, these practitioners will assist in the clinical education of Respiratory Therapy Students and participate in such diagnostic activities as ABG procurement and analysis, bedside pulmonary function testing and hemodynamic and other noninvasive procedures.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program (Required)
• 1 - 2 years experience in a related field (Required)
