Job summary

Iredell Health System is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team in North Carolina. Under supervision of the Director or Assistant Director of Respiratory Care, you will set up and operate various respiratory care devices and deliver therapies to patients as ordered by physicians.

The role requires an active North Carolina license and the ability to pass a FIT test, with physical strength to lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• Valid North Carolina Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Must be able to pass a FIT test and lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment as ordered by physicians.

Under the supervision of the Director and/or the Assistant Director of Respiratory Care and upon the request of the physician, sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment and provides therapy to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with respiratory disease, compromise or illness. Has full access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.

Shift: 36 hours per week, alternating weekends

Requirements

• Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
