Iredell Health System is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner for the night shift (36 hours per week) in Statesville, NC, rotating weekends, to provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care under physician direction and supervision.

The successful candidate will be licensed by the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care, able to operate various respiratory therapy equipment, pass a basic FIT test, and lift up to 30 pounds.

Qualifications

• Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and pass a basic FIT test.
• Able to work night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with rotating weekends.

Shift: 36 hrs. per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends

Under the supervision of the Director and/or the Assistant Director of Respiratory Care and upon the request of the physician, sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment and provides therapy to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with respiratory disease, compromise or illness. Has full access to patient health information. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.

• Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Respiratory Care as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
