Job summary

Associate Staffing LLC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join a hospital-based team for neonatal, pediatric, and adult care. Night shift, full-time; relocation assistance and commitment bonus may be available. Relocation and professional growth benefits support ongoing development.

Responsibilities include performing respiratory procedures, managing therapies, monitoring and documenting patient progress, and educating patients and families. Licensure in NC and NBRC credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved two-year respiratory care program, associate degree or equivalent.
• Candidates currently enrolled in an approved program may be considered if registry eligible.
• North Carolina respiratory care licensure or provisional licensure, NBRC credentials, and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care procedures per physician orders and protocols.
• Administer oxygen, aerosolized meds, and incentive breathing therapies.
• Airway suctioning, CPR, bag-mask ventilation, pulse oximetry, ABG sampling, pulmonary mechanics.
• Pulmonary function studies, EKGs, and cardiac monitoring.
• Transport patients and verify physician orders.
• Set up and maintain respiratory equipment; follow infection control standards.
• Recognize life-threatening situations and respond appropriately.
• Document care and communicate with the care team.
• Educate patients, families, and colleagues on respiratory care.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.

Position Overview

Join a hospital-based respiratory care team providing diagnostic and therapeutic care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients. Eligible candidates may qualify for relocation assistance and a commitment bonus. Compensation and benefits are designed to support well-being and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory care procedures in accordance with physician orders and established clinical protocols.
• Administer oxygen, aerosolized medications, and incentive breathing therapies.
• Perform airway suctioning, CPR, bag-mask ventilation, pulse oximetry, arterial blood gas sampling, and bedside pulmonary mechanics.
• Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures, pulmonary function studies, EKGs, and cardiac monitoring.
• Transport patients within the hospital and verify physician orders.
• Set up, operate, and maintain respiratory equipment and supplies; follow infection prevention and safety standards.
• Recognize life-threatening situations and initiate the appropriate response.
• Assess patients’ response to therapy, document care in the medical record, and communicate relevant clinical information to the care team.
• Educate patients, families, and healthcare colleagues about respiratory care.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

Education: Completion of an approved two-year respiratory care program, associate degree or equivalent. Candidates currently enrolled in an approved program may be considered if registry eligible.

Experience: None required.

Licensure and certifications: North Carolina respiratory care licensure or provisional licensure. Graduates must hold applicable NBRC credentials. Basic Life Support certification and any additional role‑specific certifications are required.

Skills and work requirements:

• Use sound clinical judgment and adapt care to patients of different ages.
• Maintain required competencies, safety and compliance training, and North Carolina license and continuing education requirements.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
• Work in multiple hospital areas and be able to walk, climb, bend, and lift or push more than 30 pounds as needed.
