Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - West TN in Jackson, TN is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our critical care team. Full-time, 12-hour shifts, day or night, with a compensation up to $38.00 per hour based on experience and a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

You will evaluate patients, provide respiratory care, assist with airway management, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement. Required NBRC credentials (CRT or RRT), BLS, state licensure; ACLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must possess NBRC CRT or RRT credential.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
