Select Specialty Hospital - West TN in Jackson, TN is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for full-time day and night shifts. Compensation is up to $38.00 per hour, based on experience, with a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

The hospital emphasizes growth, education, a clinical ladder, debt relief and strong patient care. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, delivering respiratory care, endotracheal tube management, quality improvement, and patient/family education.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active NBRC CRT or RRT credential or state equivalent.
• Provide graduation transcript or diploma (preferred) or HS transcript/GED.
• BLS certification must be current by start date.
• Current state licensure is required to practice.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire (PRN may require on hire).

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.

Schedule: Full Time - 12 Hour Shifts - Day Shift 7:00a-7:00p & Night Shift 7:00p-7:00a

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
