Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital – Columbus South is looking for a Respiratory Therapist to deliver patient-centered RT care to critically ill patients, evaluate needs, and manage airway procedures as part of a dedicated team.

The position is full-time with a 12-hour night shift (7:00p–7:00a), offering pay from $35.00 to $47.10 per hour plus a $15,000 sign-on bonus and opportunities for tuition reimbursement, a clinical ladder, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire (first shift for agency RT, upon hire for PRN).
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma or high school/GED.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
