Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for the Float Pool in Aurora, CO. This on-site role supports patient care across shifts with 72 hours per pay period and a day schedule. Compensation ranges from $31.61 to $47.41 per hour, depending on experience.

The position requires rigorous respiratory therapy training, NBRC RRT, state licensure as applicable, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and BLS certifications, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement within UCHealth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program is required.
• RRT NBRC registration is required.
• State licensure if required by law.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required.
• NRP certification required.
• BLS certification must be current through start date.

Responsibilities

• Provides top of scope respiratory care in direct patient care with protocols.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to achieve quality outcomes.
• Prioritizes wellness and evidence-based practice for patients.
• Precepts new staff or learners to UCHealth processes and care.
• Keeps pace with a fast, innovative clinical environment and welcomes new knowledge.
• Ensures safety and quality at the point of care.
• Manages ventilator integration and airway management across care levels.
• Participates in clinical and process improvement projects at unit, division, or system levels.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

State licensure if required by law

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

PALS

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

BLS certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
