Covina Rehabilitation Center seeks a Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. The RT will provide comprehensive respiratory care to residents in a long-term care setting, ensuring safe, effective treatments and documentation.

The role requires an active CA Respiratory Care license, BLS, and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings. Experience with ventilators and OBRA guidelines is preferred to support resident care.

Formación

• Active California Respiratory Care License and verifiable licensure.
• Graduation from an accredited school with RT credentials.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and operate respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment in sub-acute units.
• Explain treatments and procedures to residents and families.
• Perform physician-prescribed treatments using IPPB, oxygen devices, nebulizers, and humidifiers.
• Set up and monitor ventilators and monitor ventilation during CPR in emergencies.
• Record treatments and resident responses in charts and respiratory care records.
• Maintain ventilator logs and equipment maintenance; perform rounds checking oxygen equipment.
