Job summary

Waynesburg Nursing and Rehab is seeking a compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our 111-bed skilled nursing facility. The RT will provide respiratory treatments, manage ventilators, and collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

The role requires NBRC registration, a high school diploma (associate/bachelor's preferred), and at least 1 year of RT experience, preferably in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy or related field preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist; skilled nursing facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing respiratory therapy treatments to patients, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol therapy.
• Conducting respiratory evaluations and assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Operating and maintaining respiratory equipment, including ventilators, oxygen concentrators, and nebulizers.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Educating patients and families on respiratory therapy techniques and disease management.
