Job summary

Qualifications

• Active State Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• Completion of an approved school for respiratory therapy.
• 1–3 months of related experience and/or training (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate devices like ventilators and aerosol generators.
• Administer medicinal gases and aerosol drugs per physician orders.
• Monitor patients' physiological responses and vital signs.
• Assist patients with breathing exercises.
• Observe and adjust equipment to optimize therapy.
• Maintain patient charts with therapy information.
• Inspect respiratory therapy equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Demonstrate procedures to trainees and staff.

Education
