Job summary

MUSC Midlands is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide advanced respiratory care across diverse patient populations. You will perform diagnostic tests, administer therapies, and collaborate with physicians to develop patient care plans.

You will monitor ventilator settings, conduct ABG analyses, and support ICU patients. The role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• 0-1 year as a Respiratory Therapist in a clinical setting.
• Experience in critical care or emergency care settings is preferred.
• Certified as a Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS required; PALS to be obtained during orientation; NRP within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment and Care; conduct assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer respiratory therapies: oxygen, nebulizers, chest physiotherapy, ventilation.
• Monitor ventilator settings and respiratory support devices.
• Perform pulmonary function tests and ABG analysis.
• Provide care in ICU and assist with emergency management and CPR.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and device use.
