Job summary

Mercy in Missouri is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for clinicians. RCP licensure and NBRC RRT credential are required; ACLS is preferred, PALS for ER staff is noted.

While no prior experience is required, applicants should be prepared for physical demands and a collaborative healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of COARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC.
• PALS certification required for ER staff.
• ACLS preferred.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
