Job summary

Mercy seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy under physician orders. You will consult on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource to physicians and nursing staff. The role requires an RCP license and NBRC RRT credential, with PALS required for ER staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Hold a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• For ER staff, PALS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
