Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to work under physician supervision. You will perform cardiopulmonary evaluations, therapy techniques, and educate residents, patients, staff, families, and caregivers.

Responsibilities include performing diagnostic tests, preparing equipment, providing relief for asthma to heart failure cases, teaching patients and families, drawing blood for gas analyses, and maintaining compliant documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs the tests that aid in the diagnosis and evaluation of respiratory problems using special apparatus and administering therapies.
• Selects, assembles and checks equipment used in the respiratory treatment.
• Gives temporary relief to patients with conditions ranging from chronic asthma to heart failure, stroke, etc.
• Performs diagnostic tests and monitors patient's treatment.
• Teaches patients and their families to use equipment.
• Draws blood and analyzes the oxygen, carbon dioxide and pH levels.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
