Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assess, treat, and care for residents with breathing disorders. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care in a facility setting.

The role includes administrative, personnel, and clinical responsibilities, with focus on safety, policy adherence, and staff development to ensure optimal respiratory therapy for residents.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in this state.
• Must understand the English language.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action in a timely fashion.
• Must be knowledgeable of supply practices, procedures, and guidelines.
• Must possess the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct respiratory therapy programs and activities in accordance with rules and guidelines governing nursing care facilities.
• Meet with administration and staff to plan therapy services and represent the Facility at meetings.
• Maintain respiratory therapy standards of practice and review policies periodically.
• Determine staffing needs and assist in recruitment of competent respiratory therapy personnel.
• Provide guidance and training for new personnel and supervise staff.
• Develop and update written procedures for licenses and compliance of respiratory personnel.
• Provide emergency care and perform pulmonary functions and respiratory tests as part of patient care.
