Job summary

Live Well Homecare seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist to deliver and guide comprehensive respiratory therapies across neonatal to geriatric patients. You will administer medical gases, medications, and airway support during CPR, and perform ABG sampling and pulmonary function testing while educating patients and families.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, ensuring equipment functionality, and guiding therapy technicians.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• RRT certification or registry-eligible; Illinois license within 6 months.
• Current CPR certification; ACLS/NRP/PALS within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and guide respiratory therapies for patients from neonatal to geriatric; administer gases, medications, and advanced respiratory care including airway management during CPR.
• Perform arterial blood gas sampling and pulmonary function testing; educate patients and families.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure equipment functionality; provide guidance to therapy technicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care; participate in continuing education.
• In the supervisor’s absence, perform duties such as staff assignment, equipment authorization, and emergency response.
