Job summary

Select Medical in Memphis, TN is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for full-time night shifts (7 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.). The RT will assess and deliver respiratory care to critically ill patients, including procedures like endotracheal intubation/removal, with a focus on quality improvement and patient education.

Minimum qualifications include NBRC-credentialed CRT or RRT, active state licensure, BLS, and ACLS within 6 months. Benefit-rich environment with strong career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must possess Active CRT or RRT credential from NBRC or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire (agency staff ACLS upon first shift; PRN staff upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.

Location: Memphis, TN (located inside of Methodist University)

Schedule: Full Time Nights - 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.Compensation: $25.00 to $38.95 per hour

• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
